These services support the world-leading active electronically scanned array systems acquired through CEA Technologies.
AMW have been providing engineering support services to Land Self Protection SPO for the last decade. We have supported LSPSPO through the supply of highly skilled RF, communications and systems engineers to address threats arising from operations through Joint Project 154 Phases 1 to 3B, and through rapid acquisitions. The capability includes; Force Protection Electronic Countermeasures (FP ECM), Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Robots, systems and facilities in support of CIED training, a CMD&V capability and a Deliberate Route Clearance capability.
AMW have provided additional engineering support to LAND154 Phase 2 since 2014 for the development and delivery of project and engineering documentation to support 2nd pass government approval and acquisition for vehicle mounted FP ECM and Weapons Technical Intelligence (WTI) through the selection and employment of Force Protection capabilities to defeat Improvised Explosive Devices (IED).
Provision of a team integrated support services contract inclusive of the Chief Engineer and DAAR services, platform, sustainment, systems engineers and naval architect support services since 2014. AMW supported the sustainment and through-life support of the Armidale Class Patrol Boats (ACPB) and its equipment and systems. AMW provided additional support to PBSPO through the update and development of a DOORs database inclusive of all contract change documentation, procedural documentation and the development a training package that was delivered to PBSPO engineering staff on performing updates to DOORs to include the production of individual vessel material certificates.
Engineering Management Support Services to support the introduction of the Phased array radar (CEAFAR) and missile illuminator (CEAMOUNT) collectively referred to as the Phased Array Radar (PAR) System to the ANZAC Class Frigates. AMW was responsible for conducting risk assessments, including identifying, tracking and mitigating, providing engineering governance and the development of engineering documentation to support requirements development, safety, certification, configuration management, technical risk and quality for SEA1448-4B activities leading to second pass and supporting the implementation and management of integration risk reduction activities.
AMW have been providing engineering support services to JP2072 Ph2A since 2015, for the deployable, digital, land-based tactical communications systems that will connect deployed operational and tactical headquarters to allocated tactical units from the Australian Army, Navy and Air Force as a mobile, secure and survivable network. AMW is continuing to provide the engineering and technical activities (under TRAMM-L) and appropriate processes, certification of Phase2A communication nodes and design acceptance of BCS(L) Subsystems (for example Combat Net Radio Equipment (CNRE), High Frequency Radio Equipment (HFRE) and Tactical Satellite Radio Equipment (TSRE).
Provision of specialist RF engineering services to support the development, demonstration and delivery of test plans and procedures and subsequent reports for the RF characterisation of electronic systems (such as radios), S11 and S21 measurements for antennas and antenna installations, RE102 and CE102 testing of platforms, earth bond tests to satisfy DEF STAN 59-411 and communications intelligibility and through-put tests, including in the presence of RF interference, using supplied test equipment and ancillaries.
Provision of engineering support services to the Hydrographic Systems Program Office (HSPO), to assist Army marine with the in-service support for Army watercraft and associated equipment through delivery of systems engineering and certification of engineering documentation.
AMW provided communications engineering support to get the Modernised Submarine Communication System (MSMCS) Stage 1 capability through the Detailed Design Review (DDR) stage.
Provided Specialist RF engineering support to the Modernised Submarine Communications System (MSMCS) and the Microwave Electronic Support (MWES) enhancement for the Collins Submarine Program. An improved UHF SATCOM/GPS antenna has been identified to ensure ongoing performance of SATCOM at higher bandwidths for the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna fitted to the Periscope Antenna Unit.
Provision of systems architecture/integration and engineering support to establish a DOORs database and linkages for the Battlefield Command Support System (BCSS) project (Land75 Phase 4) to digital command and control support system to enhance combat capability of the Australian Army.
AMW has provide engineering and test and trials support for the SEA1397-5 Nulka Activities and the SEA1448-4A Electronic Support (ES) system activities plus additional surge support since 2015. These teams are supporting and delivering the ISREW-M SPO trials programs by:
- Proactively engaging trial stakeholders
- Developing and managing approval of all necessary trials documentation (including engineering change requests and regulatory submissions when required)
